What goes wrong with tox
- Frozen. Somebody dosed to a chart instead of to your face, and now your forehead doesn’t move when you’re surprised. It wears off, but you paid for four months of it.
- Heavy brows. Too much in the forehead without accounting for how you hold your brows up. You look tired, which is the opposite of the point.
- The same units every time, on everybody. Your muscles are not the average of a study population, and dosing you like they are is lazy.
How I do it
I watch you talk before I mark anything. Where your lines actually form when you’re animated tells me more than a still photo does, and it’s the part most people skip.
I start lower than you probably expect. You can always come back at two weeks and I can add. Nobody has ever been able to take it back out.
In Florida the sun does most of the damage, so I’ll usually talk to you about a peel or your skincare in the same visit. Relaxing a muscle doesn’t fix texture.

- A two week review, where I add if it needs it

- Not if I’m doing it properly. I go conservative on a first treatment specifically so you can come back and tell me it’s not enough. That conversation is easy. The other one isn’t.
